How we verify our information

Updated: 8 November 2026

StreamFinder exists to answer one question correctly: where can you legally watch a movie? Here is how we check what we publish.

Streaming dates

We use official announcements from the platform, studio or distributor first. When a date only comes from news reports, we label it "(reported)". If sources disagree, we follow the official announcement.

Trailers

We only embed trailers from the official YouTube channel of the streaming service, the studio or producer, or the film's official music label. We check the uploader of every video before adding it, and never use fan-made or re-uploaded copies.

Country availability

Catalogues differ by country. When we cannot confirm that a movie is available in a country, the page says "Not confirmed yet" instead of guessing.

Sources

Every movie page lists the sources we used and the date it was last checked.

Updates

New releases are researched twice a week, and every page is rebuilt daily so dates such as "out now" and "coming soon" stay correct.

No piracy, clear money

We never link to pirated copies. The site earns money from ads and some affiliate links; this never changes where we tell you a movie is available.
